Great question! Here’s the simple answer: Prebiotics are what probiotics eat. Probiotics are live bacteria with health benefits, sometimes referred to as ‘good bacteria.’ Our digestive tract is home to many different types of beneficial bacteria—and they need food, just like us. That’s where prebiotics come in.

Because we can’t break them down, prebiotics pass through our digestive tract to the large intestine (where most of our beneficial bacteria reside). There, they’re fermented and broken down by our gut bacteria into useful compounds that support our overall health.

OLIPOP incorporates a variety of clinically-tested prebiotics to give your friendly gut bacteria the nutrients they need. Because taking probiotics without addressing what’s happening within is like planting seeds in a desert and hoping a garden will grow.

Did you know that on average, Americans get less than one-third of the FDA daily recommended amount of fiber and less than 10% of what our hunter-gatherer ancestors consumed? There are two forms of fiber out there: soluble and insoluble. We use soluble fiber in powder form that dissolves in liquid, which is how prebiotic fiber ends up in each can of OLIPOP. Our pop’s fiber comes from a number of different plants including Chicory Root, Jerusalem Artichoke, and Cassava Fiber!

OLIPOP ships free for subscribers and individual orders of $50 or more, anywhere in the continental U.S. via USPS, UPS and FedEx. For our friends in Alaska and Hawaii, OLIPOP ships via USPS for an additional fee.

OLIPOP is perfect at any time of day! We’ve heard it all—after a workout, as an after-dinner treat, or even as an afternoon snack. The options are endless!

One can = one serving!

We recommend starting with one can a day, then working your way up to two (or more!) if it feels right.

It is perfectly normal to see pulp or sediment in OLIPOP products. OLIPOPs with natural vanilla flavor may contain dark specks as a result of the vanilla bean used. This is commonly seen in our Cream Soda. Pulp can also be present in certain OLIPOPs from the natural fruit juices.
